The Tormek T-8 Black is a limited-edition, 50-year anniversary machine with an intense, all-black visual appearance that gives an edge to any workshop for a long time to come. Tormek was founded in 1973 by Torgny Jansson. His vision was to make sharpening with the highest precision easy. 50 years later we can conclude that he succeded.

We can’t stress this enough. Diamond is the hardest material in the world, and by far the hardest abrasive. It lets you sharpen any material you want. So yeah, we really love diamonds.
The Tormek T-8 Black comes with the DF-250 Diamond Wheel Fine. It’s equivalent to 600 grit. This means you get an efficient material removal rate, but still a viable finish on your tools. If you’re not yet in love with diamonds, you will be.
We wanted to make a statement for our 50-year anniversary. The Tormek T-8 Black has an intense, all-black visual appearance that will certainly accentuate the sharpening station in your workshop. To match the all black housing of the Tormek T-8 Black, we have equipped it with the CW-220 Composite Honing Wheel. This choice goes way beyond design though. This honing wheel requires no honing compound since it has integrated polish. So your new beauty won’t get dirty that quickly.
The CW-220 Composite Honing Wheel is also bit more aggressive than the leather honing wheel. This means it removes the more stubborn burrs at a higher efficiancy, which goes especially well with our diamond grinding wheels.
The Tormek T-8 is the true original water-cooled sharpening system. In many ways it is the same as centuries old sharpening techniques. It has a round, rotating grinding wheel. It rotates at a low RPM. It runs with water. A few simple fuctions that gurantees the retention and quality of your tools.
