We’ve developed the SVM-00 Small Knife Holder so that you can sharpen your smallest knives to the same precision as larger knives. This is particularly appreciated by woodworkers and woodcarvers, who commonly use small knives where precise sharpening is of the utmost importance.
Tormek’s SVM-00 Small Knife Holder complements the KJ-45 Centering Knife Jig and makes it possible to sharpen really tiny knife blades. By attaching the handle of the knife in the jig, you can sharpen the very smallest of blades. It’s also compatible with older knife jigs, such as the discontinued SVM-45 Knife Jig.
The SVM-00 Small Knife Holder allows you to sharpen various kinds of craft knives, chip-carving knives and knives for detailed work. Even pocket knives can be sharpened with perfect control. Since it’s the handle of the knife that is mounted in the jig, there is no lower limit for how small blades you can sharpen.

Sharpen chisels and plane irons

This well-balanced, patented jig provides extra stability when sharpening knives with long, flexible blades such as filleting knives. With the KJ-140 Wide Centering Knife Jig, you achieve symmetrical sharpening with the same angle on both sides of the blade. Regardless of the thickness and geometry of the blade, it will self-center in the jig, giving you the same result on both bevels. The longer clamp stabilizes flexible knife blades to prevent them from flexing, so that you get the same angle and pressure over the entire bevel.
