Has the clamp on the guide of your Tormek knife sharpener worn out? The EC-38 Exchange Clamp for Angle Guide is a replacement part for the patented guide that determines the sharpening angle of the Tormek T-1 Kitchen Knife Sharpener and Tormek T-2 Pro Kitchen Knife Sharpener.

With the patented guide on your Tormek knife sharpener you set the desired angle for your knife. Part of the guide is a plastic clamp that fixes the blade in place so that you get the same angle over the entire bevel. If the plastic clamp wears out over time, you can easily replace it with the EC-38 Exchange Clamp for Angle Guide.
The plastic on the guide may wear down a little, close to the diamond grinding wheel, during the first few sharpenings. This is perfectly normal and part of the break-in process. So if you have knives with thick blades, it’s a good idea to have two clamps: one for thin knives, and one for thicker knives.
