Water has several functions when you sharpen tools using the Tormek water-cooled sharpening systems. It keeps the steel cool so it doesn’t lose its tempering, and it leads away steel particles and any grindstone dust so that you don’t breathe it in.
The WT-200 Water Trough for T-4 fits Tormek machine models with a 200 mm (7 7/8″) grinding wheel – the Tormek T-4, Tormek T-3 and Tormek 1200. If your old water trough is broken, simply replace it with a new one.

Enables older machine models to use the universal support
The USS-2 Mounting Kit for Universal Support upgrades older Tormek machines by allowing the use of the universal support. The XB-100 Horizontal Base allows you to sharpen with the rotation of the grinding wheel running away from the edge (edge trailing) instead of into the edge (edge leading). The XB-100 Horizontal Base was supplied as standard on all Tormek S-2000 and S-1200 machines after 8 August 2001. If you have an older machine, you can upgrade it with a horizontal base.
Water trough for Tormek T-7 and older models
The AWT-250 Advanced Water Trough for T-7 has a greatly extended frame to keep your workbench free of water. It also comes with a built-in magnet that effectively traps steel particles while you sharpen and allows you to clean them off when you’re done. A removable drip cover for long tools is also included.
Main shaft for T-4
Stainless steel main shaft and composite EzyLock. EzyLock ensures that the grinding wheel is securely fastened, with no risk of loosening. No tools are needed to mount or remove the grinding wheel thanks to its unique design.
